Who needs to apply

You might need to apply for a visa for travelling to Faroe Islands or Greenland, even though you have a Finnish residence permit. Read more via this link.

When should you apply

You can apply up to 6 months before your trip. The average processing time is 30 calendar days, but it can take even longer if the application is forwarded to European security checks, or for another reason delayed, depending on the individual case.

Be aware that the waiting time to submit your application/biometrics at the embassy can be long.

The Danish Mission recommends that you do not buy a plane ticket before your visa has been approved.
