Storage og fingerprints and photo
New rules regarding recording, registration and storage of aliens’ fingerprints and photographs (biometric features) recorded for the purpose of an application for a visa or residence permit to Denmark.
Amending Act no. 703 of 8 June 2017 to the Danish Aliens Act entered into force on 1 July 2017. According to the Amending Act, an alien’s biometric features recorded for the purpose of an application for a visa or residence permit to Denmark will be stored for a longer period in a central register managed by the Ministry of Immigration and Integration, the Danish Immigration Service and the Danish Agency for International Recruitment and Integration for the purpose of identification and identity control.
