Regarding entry to Denmark

Entry into Denmark is restricted due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Read more on the Joint Website of the Danish Authorities here.
The Embassy of Denmark in Finland cannot answer questions about travelling to Denmark.The questions need to be directed to the Danish police. In urgent cases you can contact the Danish Police's hotline regarding entry into Denmark: +45 7020 6044.

The current flight ban into Denmark applies to transportation of all flight passengers from the entire world, including Danish nationals. For full description of the flight ban and entry restrictions see the Danish Authorities' website.

We also advice to always before you travel to be in contact with your airline for their own COVID-19 restrictions and check that your travel insurance covers travelling during the COVID-19 pandemic. 

Rules also apply for or a continuous journeys. Please read the rules here. If you are not able to adhere to these rules, then you will be refused boarding.

 

Regarding entry to Finland

Travelling to Finland with Finnair
From January 28, 2021 you need to show a certificate of a negative COVID-19 test when boarding the plane. The test result can be presented in a form of a printed certificate or in digital form, as long as it contains all required information. Travelling to Finland with ferry
Shipping lines operating services to Finland expect all sea passengers arriving in Finland to present a certificate showing that they have tested negative for COVID-19. No certificate is required of cruise passengers who have not gone ashore in another country.

When boarding, all passengers, including Finnish citizens, must have a certificate of a negative COVID-19 test taken within 72 hours before departure or a medical certificate of recovery from the infection. Passengers are asked to show the certificate upon request at the departure terminal and on arrival in Finland in connection with border control, or to present it to the health authorities on duty at the terminal.

Exempt from the obligation to present the certificate are children under 12 years of age.

Possibility for rapid COVID-19 PCR and antigen tests in Helsinki and Helsinki airport

Possibility for rapid COVID-19 PCR and antigen tests at Helsinki-Vantaa airport
Aava Airport private medical centre offers rapid COVID-19 PCR-tests and antigen tests at Gate 26 in the transit area during weekdays Monday to Friday from 7.00-15.00. However, if you need a COVID-19 antigen test during your transfer time, you should book it four days in advance. You will get the result for the PCR test within 1-2 hrs and for the antigen test within 15-30 minutes.
When departing from Helsinki, you can take an antigen test in Arrivals hall 2A, without prior booking. Possibilities to have rapid COVID-19 tests in the Helsinki Capital area and a few other cities in Finland
For travellers flying into Finland:
When entering Finland at Helsinki–Vantaa airport all travellers are offered a COVID-19 test free of charge. This test is for people travelling into Finland and is not a rapid test but a normal PCR-test that will be ready within 24 hours. You cannot get a certificate for this test. For travellers flying from Finland to Copenhagen:
There are a few private medical centres in Finland, which offer quick COVID-19 tests including a certificate. The test are either
PCR- or antigene tests and are ready between 1,5-6 hours depending on the service provider:
 - Mehiläinen Töölö walk-in Testing times Mon-Sun 13-18, the test is ready in approximately six hours. Contact information and price in the link.
 - Mehiläinen Drive-In Express Locations in Helsinki Messukeskus, Espoo Otaniemi and Jyväskylä offer rapid COVID-19 every day of the week. The test is ready in approximately six hours, if taken before 14.00. There might be a long waiting queue at some locations, so please read the information in the link carefully though.
 - Terveystalo Telephone number for booking a time for the test is +358 (0)30 633 9530 – to be used if you are unable to book a time online with strong Finnish digital identification. More information is found in the link.

Visa operations

Currently, you can only enter Denmark if you have a worthy purpose.
