If yes, then you could be our new Junior Commercial & Political Advisor, working in a professional team with colleagues from the Nordic-Baltic region.

Main tasks and responsibilities as Junior Advisor
As a Junior Advisor, you will be promoting Danish trade and investments in Finland and support Danish companies in their internationalisation efforts. In addition, you will work in the political team contributing to reporting on relevant political topics.
You will create and maintain networks with relevant companies, public institutions, organizations and other relevant partners with an interest in using Danish solutions.

The Trade team at the Embassy consists of a Danish Trade Counsellor, three local Commercial Advisors plus this position, and one Danish trainee. The Political team consist of two local political advisors and two Danish trainees.

Required qualifications

  • A relevant academic and/or a commercial education, for instance candidate or bachelor in business or politics.
  • Working experience within private companies or government institutions.
  • Concrete experience with sales. 
  • An understanding of the regulatory and market related opportunities and challenges in Finland.
  • Diplomatic skills and good cultural understanding.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills in Finnish and English.

Desired qualifications

  • Knowledge of Danish business and companies.
  • Knowledge of working with promotion on social media platforms.
  • Good command of a Scandinavian language.

Employment conditions

  • We offer a full time employment on a local contract based on relevant legally binding labour market rules of Finland.
  • The position is a fixed contract position for two years with possible extension based on performance and further funding.
  • Standard working hours of 37½ hours per week including lunch break with a large degree of flexibility in organizing your own daily working hours.
  • A salary of EUR 2.800.
